BAG International 

BAG International is a non-profit organization that desires to Bridge A Gap between churches, communities, and organizations in bringing awareness about the vast needs of foster children and orphans around the world. BAG International began in the hearts of its founders many years ago. The need for orphan awareness and helping to meet the needs of these beautiful children is a HUGE undertaking. Baptist Hospital ICU Waiting Room Lunch Ministry

Lunches are provided each Monday to families who are waiting their turn to visit their loved ones in the Intensive Care Unit. volunteers provide sandwiches, chips, desserts and fruit on a rotating schedule. During the fall and winter months, a crock pot of soup is also provided. The rotation schedule usually requires a volunteer to donate one item once a quarter. Caring Hands

This is a free clinic that is open for one night each month. It is serviced by volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists and staff that see around 80 patients a night at Pine Lake-Gluckstadt Church and is supported by that church as well as Ridgecrest and other area churches.. The patients are screened and also receive free prescriptions. The end goal is not only medical and dental services but legal, food, clothing, etc. Contact Jana Ethridge at

Construction Opportunities

Whether it be rebuilding after a tornado or hurricane, or helping to build a home or church, all types of skills and tools are needed. Men and women work together to accomplish the goal. Contact Tim Blocker at or 601.853.1090 x64 for additional information and to volunteer. 

Cookie Ministry

Mission First   

Mission First stands as an oasis in the entire Metro Jackson area to meet the tangible needs of individuals as an avenue to meet the paramount spiritual needs through services such as: legal, medical/dental, community development, children’s educational program, comprehensive wellness program, and sports ministry. Mount Olive Ministries

This is a community ministry in Mt. Olive, MS, led by Bro. Tony Duckworth. It includes after-school and summer programs for youth and also the Mt. Olive Community Church. Ridgecrest helped renovate a building into a lovely church with offices, kitchen, worship center, and Bible study rooms.  We partner with them to provide outreach materials and resources for the church, for their Tutoring program and the Student Robotics statewide and national competitions.  For more information contact Brian Wright at or Beth Bennett at

The Christmas Village

Michael & Brenda Van Velkinburgh, members of Ridgecrest, started this ministry in 2004 to provide a special and safe place for women who fear that their only choice is abortion or adoption when they are faced with an unplanned or crisis pregnancy. The Christmas Village provides emotional, financial, medical and spiritual support for its residents so that they can have a feasible alternative to abortion. Word of Christ Ministry  

Word of Christ Ministry is located in west Jackson, and their pastor is Devon Adams. Their mission is to reach people who are un-churched and outcast in that area so that they may become children of God. They also equip believers with the knowledge of who Jesus is and who they are in Him so that they may walk in love and live in victory. Ridgecrest helped them renovate a building in which to worship, and now supports their ministry through:      

Weekly Tutoring Program – Tutors are needed weekly in the evenings during the school year to help inner-city students with their homework and build healthy relationships. Carpools are available.

Street Evangelism – Throughout the warmer months, Word of Christ holds outdoor evangelistic outreaches in neighborhoods around west Jackson. Ridgecrest members can participate by singing, preaching, serving food, or simply by showing up willing to help in whatever way is needed.

Annual Ridgecrest Angel Tree - Christmas gifts for underprivileged children are gathered in December. All Ridgecrest members participate by buying gifts for specific children and volunteers distribute them at the WOC Center.      

Annual Christmas Food Distribution – Ridgecrest members provide boxes of food for families in need during the month of December. List of requested food items are provided.
